For Teachers
Welcome, educators, to Our Incredible World. The resources that you find on this site are specifically designed to help you teach your students more about habitats, ecosystems, biodiversity, species-at-risk, invasive species, and other related topics. The various multimedia components on this site can be used to introduce and reinforce key concepts.
The site includes two separate video series. Each is accompanied by a Study Guide.
Our Incredible World (OIW) Series
If you are looking for a comprehensive curriculum linked resource for teaching about biodiversity (Grade 6, Science and Technology curriculum, Ontario 2007) then the OIW Series is for you.
It includes:
- A six part video series (10 minutes each episode)
- You can view excerpts and read about each episode on this site; you can also purchase the series or individual episodes from our distributor.
- A Study Guide
- The Guide is available as a free download from this site; it includes three lesson plans for each video episode. Each lesson is clearly laid out, and supported with curriculum links, factsheets, student activity sheets and blackline masters.
