This is your chance to become an investigative biodiversity journalist. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to research species at risk online. Your goal is to create a newsletter about a species at risk and to present this information to your class. We’ll give you links to websites where you can find information as well as provide pictures you can download and paste into your newsletter.

For each question you attempt to answer, you will unlock one piece of the mystery puzzle! If you've answered all the questions correctly, you will reveal the secret behind the puzzle.

If you would like to look at a sample newsletter or two you can view some newsletters here. Along the way you will also be asked to answer some questions about species at risk. You’ll learn more about species at risk by watching videos, looking at pictures and reading information you discover on your investigation. If you see a picture you like, paste it into your newsletter. This will make your newsletter more visually appealing. Just be sure to credit, in your newsletter, the person or organization who took the picture.
